David Burbidge has had a very dynamic and diverse management career encompassing 26 years with Toyota Motor Corporation and 10 years ongoing as an independent Business Management, Lean Process consultant. He has a broad-based progressive experience and documented contributions in all areas of manufacturing and corporate operations. He is a top-performing visionary recognized for distinguished performance driving organizational change and achieving results across multiple facets of the corporation. David is an articulate and respected leader who expertly orchestrates projects, facilitates multi disciplinary teams, and embodies the Toyota Way/Toyota Production System philosophy. David’s 36 plus year career in automobile parts, service, sales and manufacturing began in 1983 with Toyota Canada Inc. in Toronto, Ontario as Warranty Analyst. He held a variety of leadership positions in manufacturing, plant management, and manufacturing support functions at several Toyota locations in North America. Through his diverse years of service with Toyota, he became an expert in “Managing the Toyota Way” and truly understands the company from the inside out. He was the first non-Japanese Vice President of Production Control at the corporate headquarters of Toyota Engineering and Manufacturing North America.
